Independent structure: to avoid the economic uncertainties linked to the resumption of existing foundations and the presence of a RATP gallery, the extension structure is not based on that of the 1930s building. A metal structure, light and easy to be implemented, turns over in cantilever above the existing one in the form of a 3-storey beam which absorbs all the efforts without touching the existing structure .

An urban signal has several scales: at the scale of the territory by communicating with the trains; city-wide by creating a visual eye-catcher on the square; at the scale of the block, keeping the open frontage.
